In and Out of Time

The esteemed puppet theater artist Anni Ravn has created a work for kindergarten and elementary school children that explores one of our most puzzling and wonderful notions - that of time. Intimately bound with the concept of time, music, in this case, Hans Parment´s electroacoustic timbres, provide both a pedagogical framework and a suggestive ambiance. Anni Ravn´s ingenious and lovingly crafted puppets explore the mysteries of time, classical "truths" that both puzzle and enchant a child (and adults as well, for that matter).
"Just what exactly is time"? asks the puppet Olle. He is thoroughly confused. Mom is to see the hairdresser at a specific time, but..? Where is time? Who owns it? Can we really buy time?

| These are "timeless" questions. Can answers be found? Perhaps. Perhaps not. While the play does not attempt to present any absolute answers, words and thoughts related to the concept
of time are toyed with, dissected, reformulated. "Oj, oj, oj," says the Waker-Upper, "how
time flies when you´re having fun." Flies? Whaddaya mean, flies? Can time fly?
