MASTER CLASS with Karin Hallgren and Eva Kjellander – To write about muic (normally part of a 20 unit course), 5 units.
Description
Todays society, coloured by cultural cross-fertilization and global reality, has made it even more difficult to comment on todays progression of music. If you add to this the widespread heritage of classical music and apply to it a popular musical perspective, this will make for a complex mixture. Rock, noise, ethnic music etc. together create completely new domains within the latest currents of the contemporary art music.
Everything seems to be allowed nowadays.
Is it possible to take in the situation?
How do you comment on it and how do you write about it?
The course addresses all those who want to enter deeply into these kinds of questions. Maybe you are a writer, critic, producer, programme maker or just interested in more general terms.
This masterclass is a Växjo Universitet, COMA/Musik I Syd joint project.
