EDUCATIONAL/TEACHING ACTIVITIES

In seeking to promote interest in and awareness about contemporary art music,
CoMA attaches great importance to all kinds of educational/teaching activities.
Part of the centre's integrated, all-round approach, teaching activities directed specifically
at child and youth audiences are a matter of survival: without regeneration, no future. CoMA's
concert

programmes aimed at preschool and junior school audiences are vital in this respect.

In collaboration with Växjö University, CoMA also organises a composition study
programme, courses and seminars. The composition programme is part of the
University's study path, while the courses and seminars are open to anyone
with the requisite amount of previous knowledge.
Educational/teaching activities are directed at all age groups, in terms of
both listeners/audiences and interpreters/ researchers/ composers. Due to their
specialist focus, CoMA master classes, undertaken in collaboration with Växjö
University, are an important component in this sphere.
